Anyone know/remember John Bond?

Bloke at work was pissed up last night and said he was his dad, seems random enough to be true as it it's not the sort of thing you would make up:
Only problem is he has a touch of the tar brush about him (think Ryan Giggs) and his surname isn't Bond.
According to wiki he only had a daughter - Toni.
Share any light on this?

He was in the team when I first went with my dad to Upton Park in 1958 he also played a few times up front and caused havoc !
Bond & Brown presented me with football medals at the Ilford Palais as a youngster absolutely made my day.

He was the regular right back when I first started watching West Ham. Be was a very good player and hard as nails he was eventually replaced by Joe Kirkup (God knows why) I think he was too outspoken for Greenwood's tastes.

According to my late grandfather (obviously he told me this before he became "late") Bond had a habit of putting his hand down his shorts and then flicking his ball sweat at any player that had fucked him off.

me dad used to watch Bond when he played for us, said he was a good player and a great character. said that once when he went to take a throw on, a twat opposition player stood in front of him trying to put him off, so he justt launched the ball in to the cunt's face and he didn't do it again :.)
